EDISON, NJ (October 14, 2021) – Today the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) promoted Administrative Fellow Max Felsenstein to Director of New Media.

In his position, Felsenstein will assist in the marketing, content development, championship operations, promotion, and development of the MAAC. In addition, he will serve as the media contact for MAAC hosted NCAA events, oversee conference award processes, maintain conference statistics, and serve as the liaison for MAAC sports information directors.

“I’m pleased that we were able to promote Max Felsenstein to Director of New Media,” notes MAAC Commissioner Rich Ensor.  “Max was playing for the Canisius College baseball team in the MAAC Championship at Fairfield when I met him last spring and we talked about him joining the staff as a MAAC Fellow.  Since joining the staff, he has brought great energy and enthusiasm to his work and it was an easy decision to move him up to a full-time administrative position.”

Felsenstein was hired by the MAAC in August as one of its Administrative Fellows. In that position, he helped the MAAC with its day-to-day operations, marketing, content development, championship operations, and development of the MAAC brand.

Prior to joining the MAAC, Felsenstein finished his Master’s Degree in Sport Administration at Canisius College and graduated from Drew University with a Bachelor’s Degree in English with an emphasis in Writing & Communications. He played NCAA Baseball at both Canisius and Drew.

Felsenstein also has experience working in Minor League Baseball and served as Drew University’s Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) President in 2019-2020.
